Building Massive Twitter Followers in 24 Hours
I have decided to use the past couple days working on my twitter followers. I have neglected it for some time, and determined it was the best social network to be influential when I need a huge influx of traffic in a short period of time. As an affiliate marketer, mass traffic is necessary in order to get those clicks and sales conversions. As a blogger, mass traffic is important for blog commentary and potential subscribers to your rss feeds and newsletters.
To build my traffic, I have used a few methods. The result is 300 new followers in 2 days so far and growing every few seconds at this point. The beginning of my quest was to ask others in my following to pass me around. Essentially this is a technique I used on MySpace when I needed more family for my Mobsters game. The next thing I did was dedicate some serious time submitting my twitter username to twitter directories (see list below).
One big thing I did was add a pretty link and announce it on my blog via linked keywords throughout my blog in every article that mentions twitter.
Other tools you can use to build massive traffic is a service called ValueTweets which does a lot of work for you.
Twitter Directories:
The best one is definitely Twellow. I can go to the categories on there and add people who have hundreds of thousands or even 5 digit followers and add them, then in a few minutes I get adds from their followers.
In addition to all of the above, I have promoted my Twitter page on other social networks like Facebook. I have also cross-promoted my Facebook page and my Facebook Fan Page on Twitter.

Nice post Brandon. One of the challenges with twitter is that they won’t let you follow more than 2000, unless more people follow you back. There were services that would allow you to mass unfollow, but they don’t work anymore unfortuantely

The thing about the mass unfollow is that sometimes you actually follow people you want to stay updated on. If they don’t follow you back, then they would end up unfollowed with those programs. It is better to just do it manually. It isn’t that much work anyways.

I use Twellow also and have seen my followers increase by 1000 in the last month so it is obviously working well.
I also recommend tweepi as the best free twitter follower management service.
