There’s an App for That…or Is There?

Hello everyone. I am scheduling this post to publish around the time I am making my way home to finish up some client projects and begin learning Flash and Flash Builder for AIR development.

When I am building my first flash apps and games, I will need something to work on. The reason I chose Flash for my development environment is that it is the ONLY environment that works across ALL platforms (i.e.; BlackBerry, iOS, Android) and all of the various smartphones and tablets out there. Of course there will be minor code changes for certain in-app purchases or what-not, but that’s not a concern of mine.

What I would like to use this post for would be an invitation for you to tell me what kind of apps would be the most useful to you. The term “there’s an app for that” isn’t necessarily accurate. For instance, I have yet to find a media player on my Kindle Fire that will play WMV format videos. I know of some people that wish there were a backup app that will clone their entire phone content and configuration as if it were a system iso which can be restored per their tastes and apps rather than factory settings. There are lots of potential apps which would be useful, and I invite you to comment below and tell me what you would like to see created for your phone or tablet.

Cemented Pitch, Blackberry Theme

CPhome Cemented Pitch, Blackberry ThemeJust last week, my two new themes for Blackberry were published on App World. They are Cemented Pitch for Facebook, and Cemented Pitch for Twitter. These themes were created because I wanted to have Facebook integrated into my home screen of my Blackberry 9800 Torch, because the regular notifications sucked ass. With Cemented Pitch, you have your latest 4 notifications on the home screen, underneath your 6 most important icons.

I created Cemented Pitch for Twitter for those of you that are addicted to Twitter as much as I am Facebook. I also use Twitter, but not daily like I use Facebook. As an internet marketer, both social networks are very important to me.

Both themes are $1.99 a piece, and are that low of a price because I haven’t yet designed custom icons for them. I am doing that now though, and will be upgrading the themes soon. When I upgrade the themes, they will cost more. If you are going to buy it while it is at this low price of $1.99, you will get the FREE UPGRADE when I publish it!

The bad thing about the regular Facebook and Twitter apps are that they show a notification on top with the logo, but you don’t get to see what the notifications are about.

Cemented Pitch shows you who is sending the message, chat, invite, or whatever right there on your home screen. I hate opening up the apps just to get this basic information!

This integration uses the actual official Facebook and Twitter apps. It just makes them prominent on your Blackberry home screen so you can save yourself some time from having to check who sent what. After-all, we all need to borrow some time back from our Crackberry icon wink Cemented Pitch, Blackberry Theme
