Empower Your Money-Making Future With Positive Thought

This isn’t the usual blogging and marketing advice that you are familiar with on my blog. I did however, feel a need to get this message out because it has changed my life in a major way.

For years, I have been bombarded with messages of positive thought, but I totally ignored them. I believed in “the secret” of transforming positive energy into reality, but I simply didn’t have it in my soul to follow through with it. Every day, I got up with the intent to reach my ultimate goal, then kill myself. I had no passion to live, only to do what I felt was my purpose in this life.

Atlanta CourtWhat changed?

Almost 2 weeks ago, I flew out to Atlanta for the second time. The first time was for depositions a month before, in a lawsuit I was hired as an expert witness in by the plaintiff. Instead of getting a hotel, I stayed with the owner of the company that hired me. This guys positive way had some sort of effect on me.

I can’t explain it. All I can say is that a week later when I was ready to fly back to Chicago, my core being was somehow changed. I no longer cared about these “little things” in life that seriously bothered me. I truly felt at this point that if something is going to happen in life, it will happen. I stopped trying to work against it, but still managed to make things work in a way I wanted without going against the grain. Does that make sense?

I think that going into a federal court every morning, and knowing that my testimony was what won the case told me that I was needed. I got on the stand and spoke to the jury with conviction, and showed that I really was an expert in my field. It was an amazing experience, and I want it to happen again!

Before the change

It is hard to make you visualize where I am now if you don’t know where I was at before I made that second trip. Firstly, let me tell you the state I was in before and after I made the first trip in February. I was suicidal. I felt like crap, and I knew the end was coming very soon.

My days were spent trying to find some happiness, and when I couldn’t, I wanted to be alone to listen to depressing music and try to cry the pain away so that I could feel good again.

What changes I made in business…

While I was in Atlanta, I somehow knew that anything I did from then on would be successful. No matter what project I took on, the outcome would be something to make note of for generations. I was in it to win it.

I have since made some decisions on where I want to go in the business world. One of my major goals is to get my message out, and turn others on to a positive way of life. While I have not yet started on making this goal a reality, it is something I am working on in the very near future.

One thing I did do, was realize the business that I truly loved. That business is internet marketing. I was already in the business, but my actions were only robotic. I did what I knew had to be done in order to get the client the traffic and sales they desire. I didn’t run the business in a passionate manner though. To get past this issue, I created a new company. The website launched yesterday, and can be found at

A part of internet marketing that I love, is helping local based service companies reach customers that they never would have dreamt of reaching. Local search engine marketing is something I know how to do well, and something I am very passionate about. I am so serious about this business that I have not only spent the day pushing it hard on the net, but also spent a great deal of money on paid marketing to get it launched quickly.

How can you use this to make money?

Money is something that is very easy to make. I have been self-employed since 2002, and I know what the ups and downs of the industry are. I also know that the positive and outgoing experts are the ones in the top of their industry.

You need to realize that money is easy to make before you can really go after it. You know the saying… “when you don’t think about money, it comes to you”. In order to employ that saying in it’s full effect, you need to have a passion for what you are doing. If you have the passion, then you will have the drive and attitude to put yourself in a position to where money just chases you. This is a fact.

To transform what I said into a case study, I will tell you where I am at personally with this. My positive attitude and passion for my industry is what will determine how I spend my days going forward. Those days will be spent putting my knowledge on blogs and other sites where people are looking for my message. I will engage fully with them, and ensure that my positive thinking rubs off on them. I will promote a positive message, and even go out of my way to make sure they fully understand the paths to take to reach their goals.

Can you do the same?

Stay PositiveGetting the change you need

I know you are thinking now, “how do I go about changing drastically the same way you did?”. I will tell you. What made it happen for me was that I previously felt like I wasn’t needed. I felt like a nobody who had no reason to live. I felt no purpose in life other than my daily obligations.

The first step you need to take is to figure out what makes you feel down. What is keeping you from thinking positively. Is it that you aren’t making enough to pay your bills? If so, then you need to change your way of thought. Know for a fact that you will pay your bills. Once you know it for a fact, your actions and attitude will make it happen somehow.

When you are depressed about something, that feeling totally clouds up your mind. You have no imagination at that point, other than imagining the bad things like an impending eviction. You wouldn’t think to call up your landlord with a positive outlook, and try to negotiate a deal with them that gives them what they need in the end, and gives you time to fix your financial situation.

Remember that life is not that bad. Your life may feel bad, but it’s important to realize that depression multiplies that feeling by 100. Remove the mental obstacle and transform the way you think. Trust me, if I was able to do that, then anyone can.

Keep your head up, and make a drastic change today.

    Hi Brandon,

Thanks for sharing your story with us.

Great points throughout this post: you need to be passionate about what you do, for when this is the case you lighten up, forget about focusing on the money, and money flows to you with ease. Simple and powerful, when you do it right.

    Have a powerful day!

Thanks Ryan! Nice to see you back here. I used to be very uptight. I let the dumbest things bother me. Now it takes a lot more to bring me down.

    Hi Brandon,
I remember reading a post when I first entered into Internet Marketing about providing personal information that is more than what you should be revealing to your readers. If I remember correctly it was from David Risley. Indeed, you might want to error on the side of caution and be cool about writing about who you are and the personal challenges you face. However, as I explore the web, more to the point, the Blogosphere, I have noticed that the further we go in the growth of this median and the more we connect through social media, the more people are revealing about themselves in striking detail. I guess everyone has a story.

We all know of the extreme social interactions on the web from the young that can be down right frighting, but I’m not talking about that; I’m talking about the Internet Marketer. The ones that the coming generation will have to rely on if they intend on prosper on the Internet.

I’ll be dead in 20 years, so I need to get cracking. However I have a story that is so similar to yours its scary. At this time, I’m pretty depressed myself, however I fear revealing my true feelings. Trusting someone with your feelings is a tricky business, especially on the Internet, where the ghouls will take it and run with it.

Unfortunately I fear that what I am struggling with will eventually catch-up with me. I’m in the process of writing a book entitled “Crisis Of Faith”. The story is much too complex to go into here, but I’ll clue you to the fact that ….. Oh Joy; I was the defendant instead of the plaintiff. In the end, what I face every single second of every single day since the summer of 2007 is going to cost me approximately $30 Million Dollars …… to clear my name. Now where in hell am I going to get that kinda of money? Some would say to cut my losses and move on, however I’ve had a good name for 50 years. I’ve lost everything else I have ever worked for to a dysfunctional justice system! I’ll be damn if they get my name too.

Suicidal ………. let’s just say I can relate! Hang in there Brandon! I’m afraid we’re in the same bucket.

God Bless To You And Your Family.

    Hi again Brandon,

Thank you for sharing your story and putting your heart on your sleeve like that.

I found growing up in a small city in New Zealand to be very stifling and during my early teens found myself heavily overweight, almost non-existent self-esteem and confidence, with few real friends. I was different to my peers but at that stage I could not put my finger on what made me so. The thought of suicide was a constant companion during those dark years and I am not entirely sure why I didn’t succumb to the almost hypnotic daily urge.

When I was 17 my mother saw an ad for a weekend Self Hypnosis seminar and I withdrew what little savings I had and plonked down the fees for the course hoping that this at least would be what I needed to pull myself out of the mental ‘quicksand’ that I was rapidly sinking into. While the individual conducting the course ended up being for the most part an egotistical charlatan with the personal ethics of a piece of desiccated dog turd, the course opened me up to the wonders of meditation, self-image psychology and introduced me to a book called ‘Think and Grow Rich’ by Napoleon Hill. This book made such a profound effect on my mindset that I saw dramatic personal transformation happen within the first year of reading it. I went from fat to trim and toned; being shy and introverted to being the life and soul of the party; virtually friendless to having truckloads of loving friends; from being suicidal to wondering where on earth my next adventure was going to take me. I didn’t have to wait long..

Looking for the positive in every life event works,

  6. I was just talking about this very same thing and in fact. I learned a lot of this stuff last year from a SEO Bootcamp for small business. It was great, it was a one day intensive search marketing symposium. It really helped me to realized that I had to create my own reality and that was first by letting go of the reason why I was doing something was for the money. What I mean is when you start to just just do the things you love or imagine the things you love. Those things start to appear including the money. Its easier said than done. You have to have that AHHA moment because you will probally hear it a dozen times before you finally get it.
