Is Your Blog Modern? It Can Be…
Blogging has changed in 2010, and it is nothing like it was in the 90′s. This is the reason why so many blogs fail due to a lack of instant success. Bloggers are still working with the 90′s mindset. Today though, I have brought my blog into the future. How you ask? Video. Ok, so video isn’t necessarily new. But video comments are not widely used yet. I will give you a moment to scroll down to the comment section right now and see a new addition.
By providing your readers with the ability to add video comments, you are allowing them to interact with you in a personal way. In addition, you are allowing your readers to provide valuable video content to search engines which brings new video traffic to their favorite bloggers.
Video is the big thing in the 21st century, and everybody is trying to capitalize on it. Even more important is the fact that a huge number of blog readers visit via their mobile phones which are capable of video playback. It is simply something that you do not want to be missing out on right now.
One of the best parts of the video comments I added is the ability to add YouTube video comments too. It brings that video some web traffic, and I benefit from it as well. I am using BubbleCast as my video plugin provider.

I agree on the video and how useful it is. But my problem is that it’s a pain in the butt.
At least if it’s done right. To record, upload, edit and publish takes longer than typing a comment. Also, I prefer using a camcorder instead of the webcam (for quality) so that takes a few minutes to get the tripod lined up and such.
I know, I’m being lazy. You are SO right.
Oh, also, that means I would have to “get ready” for the camera. Take a shower, shave. Uggg.

Some people want to be seen rather than read. On top of that, having video comments will attract comments from other bloggers who side heavily on internet marketing. It allows them to brand their video on a comment which could help them drive some traffic.
