We have billions of people on this planet, and each of them are a potential customer for your new business. Knowing this fact, how come major corporations keep laying people off? It just doesn’t make any sense! If these companies are making billions of dollars in sales every year, then why can’t they afford to keep people employed? It’s their greed!
Corporations exist to provide profits to share holders. If the company is not making big profits, then their stocks drop. More and more companies are going overseas or replacing human workers with industrial machines!
Your Job Security
Your job security is actually your own responsibility in the current economy. It’s already been proven over and over that people who work for themselves are much happier, and much wealthier. It’s up to you to stop living paycheck to paycheck only to not have any job security when it’s all over.
Most people that avoid working for themselves simply don’t understand how easy it can be to start a successful business from home. They don’t understand that they actually have talents within themselves that people want and will pay for.
Let’s take me for example. I have been working from home since 2002. I started working for myself without any type of access to a business coach. I struggled for awhile before I reached success. The only reason I struggled was because I had no idea what to do and how to do it. If I did, then I would have reached success within a very short period of time. In that case, I wouldn’t have the knowledge of what works and what doesn’t in order to teach you how to be successful. Now, you don’t have to work hard on things that fail. If you hired me as your business coach then I would tell you what works and what doesn’t. I have a marketable skill.

Hard work is never fun. But even worse, it’s never fun to not be able to afford things like vacations.
As someone that wakes up every day and works really hard, I think that the working class are the ones that really deserve a vacation every now and then. So why is it the wealthy people that always end up taking vacations all the time?!
It’s because they can afford it. Not only can they afford it, but they have all the time in the world to do what they want.
- What if you could afford multiple vacations every year?
- What if you made your own hours?
- What if you wanted to buy a new car?
- What if you wanted to buy your dream home?
None of that can be done if you are working a dead-end job!

Great motivational article for those of us in the beginning stages of working for ourselves. Good pointers to get out from under the corporate stronghold – especially when you consider that you can afford multiple vacations, a new car, etc – really makes the hard work sound worth it.
Brandon I really like what you said about having a marketable skill earned while struggling to make things work. This is a story that would help someone to stick with it. Unfortunately, too many people get bogged down with the tech side of building an online presence as well as all of the training that goes into it and simply give up. I agree completely that people must be free from the J-O-B and work fro themselves.

Home business is a really great idea to deal with especially the effects of recession are strong. Job security is really something that people should focus and successfully in handling it. There is nothing as good as being your own boss. Working for yourself is the best thing because since you are running things on your own you make your own rules and you also know that at the end of the day you have to deliver. You kind of have the feeling of if you do not work hard then you are failing no one but yourself. This is an interesting post.

starting your own business is something that everyone wants but some of them don,t have ideas and some of them got ideas but are unable to implement this post is very motivating and impressive. i am sure after reading this post most of the people will search for starting their own business.

just want to say that you are right… I started my online business about 10 years ago. I finished computer science but at that time there was no need for programers so i had to decided whats the best option for me… I worked construction (yes construction
) and in the same time i start reading whatever i could get my hands on about making money online. I spent about 10k in 5 years for books, programs and so on… and finally after all this time i was able to quit my remodeling job and dedicate 100% of my time for an online business. I had months when the income was 10-20k$ so at the end it is worth it. I learned that as long as you have a dream and work hard enough at one point it will come true…

Hi Brandon, so very true mate. I’m in the UK and it’s pretty much the same here mate. I read the other day that 98% of our “Home” companies are actually based on some of the little islands around the UK. This way they save on the taxes they have pay and some of these are the banks that got bailed out by the tax payers and are refusing loans as well as laying people off.
We each have a skill that we should be able to use for OUR benefits, OUR holidays and OUR families but like you say many people fear going it alone.
I know that you have a few things on the go and I know that you’ll be able to show people how it’s done.
