I have written in the past about building website traffic, but I thought I would elaborate specifically on blogging. I consider my blog not only a way to interact with my readers, but also a personal solution for getting things off of my chest.
This blog has done pretty well with building traffic. I am up to many thousands of hits per month (amount classified, sorry). The reason for the regular increase in traffic is that I post regularly, and utilize social networks and social bookmarking websites. I try to get my posts republished when I can, and I write articles for big publications like Associated Content and EzineArticles to name a couple.
Your biggest obstacle for increasing traffic is yourself. It is hard to build a blog when you can’t see people commenting, or more than a few hits in your stats tracking program. Once you realize that it takes time to get a hundred comments on a single post, you can focus more on the content of the posts that you write. If you are able to realize this at the beginning of your blog, then your blog can be filled with quality posts right from the beginning.
Writing quality posts are what attracts links. If your articles are informative, someone who was looking for that information will be more likely to link back to your article from their own blog or website. This is called “viral linking”. You also receive the benefits of viral linking when you write articles for article website like EzineArticles. Those article publishing websites allow republishing of your expert articles, and re-publishers are required to provide the credit to the original author (you). That credit can be a link to the authors website (or blog). You get the benefit of traffic from another webmasters marketing efforts.
After awhile of posting to your blog, you will gain many top 10 rankings for various keywords and keyphrases. Some of which you would be surprised to see in your stats tracking program (I use analytics and google webmaster tools). Because of your continuous posting, you will end up with thousands of pages on your blog being indexed by search engines. You will attract a loyal following and get those illusive reader comments on your blog.

After blogging for a couple months on here, I find it easier to do. I use blogs on a regular basis for marketing, but this is the first blog that I have created for myself and maintained for myself. I find that it is easier to come up with topics to post, and to find time on a regular basis to put out new content.
Believe me when I tell you that blogging started out hard. You will get writer’s block every second you sit in front of your computer ready to blog. But if you are persistent, you will see yourself enjoying it. I wish that my blog brought me an income that exceeded my self-employment income. I would love to do nothing but write.
I was thinking about starting a reviews section on this site. Aside from the attractiveness of getting free stuff to review, I would also benefit from the marketing provided by these companies who wish to show their customers a positive review. Of course, companies that get negative reviews will probably hate me. But oh well… Can’t please everybody.

Looking for a way to keep your website updates with fresh content without having to actually spend time researching and typing? If you hire a blogger, you can get the content requirements that you need without using your precious time as an investment. You can find bloggers to write 1,000 word articles for as cheap as $8 a piece.
If you need someone, I am available. I have various knowledge, but am able to research any subject based on your need. Blogging, if you don’t know, is the best way to get search engine spiders like googlebot to stay on your website, constantly indexing.
I recommend WordPress as your blogging platform, and I can install it if needed. I find that WordPress has a bunch of free, essential plugins that allow your blog to be search engine friendly, and integrate with social networks and other modern media.

For a long time, I have used blogging as a way to make money through advertisements. The funny thing is that I found that traffic is much more easily gained when I am posting based on actual happenings in my life in addition to specialized articles on my industries.
My new motive as a blogger is to blog about everything. Everything from my business, to my personal life. I am sure my wife will probably not be too happy about this motive, but alas… I cannot please everybody
I also hope to bring a bunch of readers to this blog that will comment more often. Your comments (not the spammers) help me to produce posts that my readers want to see.
