Help Me SUCCEED on Indiegogo.com!

Hey everyone, I setup an Indiegogo campaign the other day with a goal of raising $200,000 to start a homeless charity organization. This will be a shelter like no other. Let me explain.

Did you know that homeless shelters which rely on government grants get rewarded if they don’t help people get back on their feet? They actually receive more money if they have more people in their shelter. MANY organizations abuse this and take advantage by making it hard for residents to get back out on their own. Some of them:

  • Take away cell phones so you can’t arrange for help or receive job offers.
  • Take away cash and government food benefit cards so you can’t get a car or apartment.
  • USE your government benefits card illegally to distribute the groceries to the entire shelter.
  • PREVENT you from owning a library card (and libraries cooperate!).

How does any of this actually help someone who’s homeless? It doesn’t!

That’s where my campaign comes in. The goal is $200,000 so that I can purchase a building (they are cheap out here), get equipment and food, and incorporate as a charity non-profit organization.

My campaign URL is http://www.indiegogo.com/lets-help-the-homeless and I need you to contribute, even the smallest amounts. Notice that my perks are for services I offer which normally cost much more.

If you can’t contribute with a donation, then please share on all of your social media accounts. I’m talking Facebook, Twitter, StumbleUpon, Pinterest, you name it!

Thank you all in advance! BTW, if you want to contribute a larger amount than what is listed, please send it directly to me via PayPal at brandon [@] brandonconnell.com (remove the [ ])

Investment Beyond Blogging and IM

For the past few months, I have been looking into investment beyond blogging and IM (internet marketing). I have been looking into buying patents, and buying existing business assets. I have been hanging out at DailyDac checking out the investment opportunities.

For those of you that have been blogging awhile and built up the income for yourself from it, I recommend spreading out your eggs into multiple baskets. It’s smart to keep your blog making money, but you always want to ensure a solid future. To do that, you need to be open minded, and not hard-headed.

Also in the works for me is a non-profit for homeless programs and shelters, and an LLC for real estate investment.
