WARNING: Disturbing Images From the Oil Disaster
I found these on a news story of Yahoo! homepage. You can see the original article here.
I thought I would include some of these photos so you can see how BP destroyed a great part of our planet. This makes me want to run my house on solar power, and my car on water. Click the images to see the full size. And don’t forget to check the original source above for more details.

I am sorry for the off topic post here, but this just makes me sick. I can’t believe that they are killing dolphins, sharks, birds, and soaking new bird eggs in oil. I can’t believe that it cannot be contained either.
I am too smart to believe something so stupid as us not being able to do something so simple like plugging a hole.

Soaking new bird eggs in oil? Sadly that sounds like a delicacy somewhere.
Yes, it’s sickening. You’re not old enough to remember the movie “Oh God” with George Burns. One of my favorite quotes from the movie is, “You can love each other, cherish and nurture each other or you can kill each other. Incidentally, “kill” is the word. It’s not “waste.” If I had wanted “waste” I would have writen “thou shalt not waste.” You’re doing some very funnny things with words. You’re also turning the sky into mud. I look down, I can’t believe the filth. Using the rivers for toilets, poisoning my fishes. You want a miracle? *You* make a fish from scratch. You can’t. You think only God can make a tree? Try coming up with a mackeral. And when the last one’s gone, that’ll be that. Eighty-six on the fish, goodbye sky, so long world, over and out.”

It’s one of my favorite movies. Another old favorite is “no time for sergeants”. Look it up.

It is real tragic to see the oil spill destroy the marine ecosystem and create havoc among the fishes, dolphins and other marine life.
It makes me sick too Brandon. I think BP as well as the government agency that gave the drilling permit are responsible for it.
We, humans are slowly destroying mother nature. Just imagine how many organisms unique to that habitat are extinct because of the oil spill.

I might be from the city, but I love nature and spending time in it. I am drawn to water even though I cannot swim and this treatment to the water kills me.

“I am too smart to believe something so stupid as us not being able to do something so simple like plugging a hole.”
I realize many people feel this way, but you must realize, that it’s not that simple. And regretfully, it’s too bad that BP is the best candidate for the repair of the oil geyser – I watched a special report on CNN yesterday. No one else has the technology required for this, especially our government. I believe that they are doing the best with what they have, which isn’t much.
“An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” Make that a billion pounds in this case.
I only hope that we as a people have smartened up a bit from this. Our planet will never be the same.

Ok it’s not simple in regards to logistics, but they are not even theorizing on solutions. My few solutions:
1. Vacuum the crap up. You can’t tell me they can’t create a giant vacuum to suck up the oil/water and separate it later.
2. Light it up. They had some success with lighting it on fire, and it is better in tarball form than it is liquid.
3. Lift the thing up with some boat cranes. It is a simple gadget that looks like a crane, acts like a crane, and floats on water. Lift up the wreck and worry about it on land.
Something CAN be done. They would rather not spend the money.
